Artist Talk with Joseph Leonard: Art in Spirits

Join us at Soul at The Joseph for an evening of art, cocktails and conversation celebrating Columbus artist Joseph Leonard and the inspiration behind our fall cocktail menu, Art in Spirits. Art in Spirits is a collaboration between Soul and three Ohio artists: Gay Fad Studios, Joseph Leonard and Joss Ford. Each featured cocktail is inspired by an artist’s work, bringing their perspective to life through flavor, color, composition and the creativity of Soul’s bar team. For this special evening, guests are invited to go beyond the cocktail and experience the art behind the glass. About Joseph Leonard: Columbus-based multidisciplinary artist Joseph Leonard is known for transforming familiar, everyday objects into bold compositions filled with saturated color, exaggerated scale and unexpected perspective. Working primarily in oil, his work draws inspiration from vintage picture books, cookbooks, advertising and midcentury design. During the evening, Joseph will share more about his creative process, the inspiration behind his work and how that perspective found its way into the Art in Spirits menu. Guests can enjoy a special gallery display of Joseph’s work, connect with the artist in person and sip cocktails inspired by the art surrounding them. The artist talk and gallery experience are open to the community and hotel guests. There is no admission fee to attend this event. All food and beverage are available for purchase.
