Event Description:
Join us for this great opportunity to participate in this unique speed network event. TVCP will have 6 tables with seasoned veterans to discuss Business Plans for startups to experienced; going Back to Business Basics; How to Market Research for your industry by zip code; When to Hire and Retaining Employees; Tips on interviewing and choosing the right resume; and discussing your brand. You will have 10 minutes at each table to quickly discuss each topic.  This will be an opportunity to discuss with our facilitators questions you may have regarding your business.

Facilitators:
Leslie Kulis, SCORE, will be leading the discussion on Business Plans. She has 38 years of business experience with Armstrong World Industries and Armstrong flooring in Pennsylvania. Leslie has expertise in developing business plans, training, new product development process, and sales. She has supervised over 200 people in her career, so she has expertise in training and developing people to enjoy their work environment and drive to success both for the individuals and the company. Leslie was awarded the Women of Influence award by the Central Penn Business Journal in 2016.   

Stacy McPhillips, Pencil Point Marketing, will be leading the discussion on You: The Brand. Stacy knows all the marketing stuff. And she’s here to tell you that marketing your business doesn't have to feel overwhelming. She started Pencil Point Marketing to help businesses and organizations craft and deliver content that gets their target audience to take action.

Telanda Sidari, The Franchise Educator and SCORE, will be taking you back to Business Basics. 

Telanda Sidari has 20 years of business experience with almost a decade in the franchising industry – from business ownership to sales. Ms. Sidari has first hand experience in the emotional stages involved when buying a business. She has the ability to help navigate you through the steps that are needed for a thorough investigation along with keeping your perspective focused on your goals. Prior to entering the franchise world Telanda worked within a few Fortune 300 companies gaining experience with different aspects that create successful businesses and just to change things up – show business. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Miami University in Oxford, OH she moved to NYC to work on The Late Show with David Letterman! At The Sherwin-Williams Co. she worked at corporate headquarters in the Marketing Dept. managing all the Grand Openings for any new or relocated stores. When at ADP she worked with small business sales in payroll and human resource needs. The largest piece she brings to the table when working with clients is trust. When working with anyone from any business from any background the essential piece to any relationship is trust.


Pete McDowell, ActionCOACH Columbus, will be leading the discussion on When to Hire and Retention of Employees.  Pete is co-managing partner of ActionCOACH Columbus, a global top 10 coaching firm based in Columbus, Ohio. He is a recovering chemical engineer who spent over 20 years managing operations in chemical plants Stauffer Chemical Co. and Occidental Petroleum. Pete is passionate about helping people leverage their strengths to improve business performance. He is a believer in increasing business results by focusing on how we interact and communicate with other people.

Julie Easterling, ActionCOACH Columbus, will be leading the discussion on Tips and Legality of Interviewing and Choosing the Right Resume. Julie is the Director of Marketing (or Marketing Magician, her “official” title) for ActionCOACH Columbus, a global top 10 coaching firm based in Columbus, Ohio. She worked for many years in small business as an executive for hospitality management companies before transitioning to a department store retail environment doing business to business sales and personal shopping/image consulting for high end clients.

Eileen O’Neil, Grandview Heights Public Library, and Jude Virostko, Upper Arlington Public Library, will be discussing How to Market Research by Zip Code.  Jude is a reference and media librarian at Upper Arlington Public Library. She received her MLIS from Wayne State University and is passionate about connecting the community with the library resources that encourage lifelong learning and build better futures. Eileen McNeil joined the Grandview Heights Public Library (GHPL) in 2002 as the Teen Services Librarian. In 2004 she had the opportunity to become the Manager of Youth Services at GHPL and stayed in that role for over 13 years. Most recently, in 2017, Eileen became GHPL’s Director of Patron Services where she oversees all services and programming the library provides.
