THE VILLAGE MOVEMENT:  Redefining Aging in Place
Did you know the Upper Arlington Commission on Aging is launching a Village program?

The Village model is an innovative and inclusive approach to aging in place. Villages support older adults to age in a place of their choosing and connects them to supports and tools they need to create successful aging of their own design. In addition to events and activities that unite members, Villages connect older adults to a range of services, from home maintenance and in-home care to personal services and transportation.

Each Village is autonomous and its members determine which services it will offer. Village members have control over their lives — and many volunteer to help other village members.

Join us and learn about the Village model and how you can be part of this movement!  Meet members from other established Village programs in the central Ohio area.  Sign up to volunteer and/or become a member.  If you work for, or own a service business, apply to become a vetted service provider.
