COTA's active partnerships with public and private stakeholders are spearheading several innovative mobility initiatives. \n\n \n\nSenior Economic Development Project Manager Michael Loges will present COTA's mission to put more people closer to hundreds of thousands of jobs and provide a growing workforce with low-cost transportation to propel Central Ohio. Loges will also present how mobility is essential to economic and workforce development\, and how COTA is involved in projects that will make transportation more efficient and convenient.\n\n\n\nCOTA is the recipient of the 2018 American Public Transportation Association's Outstanding Public Transportation Award and provides nearly 19 million passenger trips in Central Ohio each year. Loges serves as the Senior Economic Development Project Manager for the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) Central Ohio's public transportation provider and mobility systems integrator which provides more than 19 million passenger trips per year. Michael is charged with ensuring community and economic development planning and implementation activities include and support public transit services as part of the process to maintain\, attract\, or expand new businesses in Central Ohio.\n\n\n\nMichael previously served as a Business Development Specialist for the City of Columbus where he was responsible for the negotiation of a portfolio of municipal tax incentives to both attract new businesses and retain and support expansions undertaken by existing employers. Prior to that\, Michael served as the Special Projects Manager in the Director's Office and in the Office of Strategic Business Investments\, both at the Ohio Development Services Agency. Michael began his career as Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff for then Ohio Lieutenant Governor Lee Fisher.\n\n\n\nMichael serves on the Capital Crossroads Special Improvement District Board of Trustees\, as the Vice President on the Board of Directors for the Ohio Economic Development Association (OEDA)\, and is active in his community of Worthington\, Ohio.
